The ever-evolving characters captivate the imagination. Marley more so, and the glamorous wine estate of Dragon’s Reach is tailor-made as a setting big enough to conceal many dramatic secrets. The staff is restrained, the security excessive, and Marley finds her fairy tale life to be nothing but a gilded cage. Through one ordeal after another, her easygoing, people-pleasing attitude changes until one day, the bubble bursts. When she wakes up in the hospital, her beloved husband is dead. She killed him.

Roger G. King again master’s poetic prose in this concise, descriptive, fast-paced thriller. The book is a page-turner and a well-paced narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The dialog is natural and clear- never verbose- and he changes his vernacular and personality with seamless introspection. The gripping narrative and strong emotional descriptions make for a well-paced storyline with unexpected twists -- a must-read for mystery thriller book lovers.
